OPPO and Vivo are two emerging Chinese global brands fighting for the selfie supremacy. Here in the Philippines, theyre battling it out in nearly all price segment. Recently, OPPO came with the A39 for the selfie loving budget crowd. A month after, Vivo challenged it with the release of the V5 Lite which looks beefier than A39.

The Vivo V5 Lite is slightly more appealing due to its larger screen and bigger selfie camera pixels on paper on a more affordable price tag. On the other hand, the OPPO A39 has the better construction with the use of premium metal materials and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It even has a dedicated dual SIM and micro SD card.
Both looks good for the price and purpose, but an actual comparison is needed to determine a real winner. Well do a selfie battle and see if the larger 1.4 um pixel of A39 even at just 5 MP can keep up with the 16 MP front facing shooter of V5 Lite as well. Stay tuned!
